I’m all packed up, with the exception of my laptop and eye stuff, and ready to go tomorrow. I aim to wake up at 10, shave, shower, eat, pick up any mess the cats made, vacuum, finish any remaining dishes (three pieces at present), and be ready and gone by 12:30.

I’m catching a rideshare at 1:30 at the Papineau metro stop. This will be the first time I use a rideshare. Traveling has come to mean sitting down and watching stuff for two hours, then I’m there. Of course, in a rideshare I can’t very well just watch something, I need to interact with the driver. That’s fine, of course, I’m excited to meet a stranger. Oddly enough, though, part of me was really looking forward to watching something for two hours, despite the absurd amount of time I’ve spent over the past few days doing just that. I’m sure it’ll be a great experience.

The printer works fantastically, by the way.

It’s been just over three days since Laura left, and we’re both very anxious to see one another. I expect to be in Ottawa by 3:30-ish. Laura gets off work at 4:30. I’m going to make my way to the Elgin Street Diner, order something and read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance while I wait for her to be finished. So far I’m finding it much better than Jack Kerouac or Hardcore Zen, thankfully.

I really enjoyed my last visit to Ottawa, which was only a few weeks ago, and I’m excited to be returning so soon.
