The Fuh-nee Pages

Laura got a job at Starbucks last week. She’s had one shift so far, and her second is tomorrow. She’s not getting many hours now, but people are leaving and going back to school, so she expects to be full time soon enough. From online application to being hired on the spot at the interview, Laura got the job in about four days.

Under control? You’re grabbing a fucking bazooka, you dumbass!

Laura’s home! I cleaned up the apartment this morning, then went and met her at the airport. She was accompanied by a single-serving friend named Ricky, an architect from New Jersey. He offered us a taxi or limo ride downtown as it was on the company card, which we gladly accepted.

My Ears are Warbling like Sirens!

So today was my cousin’s wedding. Lots of drinking, lots of sitting and standing and clapping, lots of talking to people I rarely ever speak to or spoke to for the first time.

Lint Jets in the Hot Tub

So I got on the train today and sat down beside some girl. After about 10 minutes of the wifi not working, and the guy across the aisle having the same problem, and one of the Via staff restarting the modem, and having looked over the train safety pamflet, I turn to Brigette and introduce myself. She goes to McGill, she’s in a science class, she’s on the rowing team—WHAT?

Cardboard Cut-Out People in a Cardboard Cut-Out World

Last Saturday Marisa had a movie monster themed party, starring herself, Alex, Evan, Heather, Jacob, Carolina, Jessie, Rachel, Stefan, Laura, and myself. They built a cardboard city and we destroyed it. It was quite fun. Finish Reading »

Sincerely Passionate about Beer and Burgers

Yesterday after work, 11pm, I hurried over to Brutopia where Laura, Carolina, and Jessie were, with a bruburger with my name on it. The kitchen closed at 11, but they got there earlier and ordered one for me. I was absolutely drenched in sweat, a film covering my entire face. That was just from heat. The bruburger, some how, wasn’t all that satisfying or even exceptionally tasty, which is incredibly disheartening because it is usually such an experience to eat. The pint I had after was disappointing too, as it just kinda filled me and made me gassy.

Supernova Goes Pop

It is disgustingly warm. I’m wide awake after a shift at Bell. The heat at once lulls me a bit yet keeps me from wanting to touch anything at all.

Fitter, Happier, More Productive

Laura and I are becoming quickly and surprisingly proficient in ASL, which is fantastic. Pat Dumoulin, it turns out, can fingerspell incredibly quickly. Once I saw him do it on Friday, I realized I had seem him do this before long ago but figured he was making jibberish signs. Not so.

A/S/L?

Today was my second day back at Bell, my first day actually working. Yesterday during the refresher training day I sketched up a logo for the Is A sites, as well as some motifs for Slutniks. When I got home I started building the Is A logo in vector format. Today I sketched up the Dear Burger logo. Unfortunately the fries look awful, so I’ll have to redo them.

Obscene Amounts of Voyeurism

Tomorrow I start once again at Bell. Half the summer is gone. Ironically, I can often get more work done on other projects while at work at Bell. I made a list on my phone of all the projects I’m working on so I can quickly reference it any time I need to remember what needs work.
